It has been 6 months since I ceased full time employment. It does not seem so long - I feel as though I have done so little of what I wanted to do in this new, opening space! Yet I am overwhelmingly busy almost every day, preparing for some future way of life that I don't recognise yet.
I haven't done much in the way of paid working. Most income has been from massage clients who I really enjoy working with. I presently do 1-3 hours per week of that, with an hour of preparation and recovery.
Technologically, I'm building expertise and code towards my as-yet-still-cryptic Christmas science project (discussed in Canada, you will recall, Alex :), as well as putting together a robust and flexible base of web services that I am able to offer. I hope to use funds from specialised web services and other miscellaneous contracts to support my development of advanced free software (and hardware!) projects, unencumbered by corporate tunnel vision.
I have several software projects on the go at the moment, and each one has a place in supporting the Grand Few projects which the technological side of me is devoted to creating. I will write more about the grand few when I am feeling more confident. I'll just suggestively mention computers and related technology, including communication, being readily available to whomever needs it - by eliminating the need for expensive industrial complexes to create it. Anyone can be suggestive, though :)
